Information for new students - including joining a new church

Several churches put on events for freshers in the first week of the new term, for example, meals after the service. If you know of any such events, feel free to post information about them in the comments section of this post.

City Evangelical Church have "Welcome to City lunches for students" after the Sunday morning services on Sunday 23rd September and Sunday 30th September. There is a minibus that goes to take people to the church.
Gateway Church have a welcome service for international students on Sunday 16th September.
Mosaic Church have several events in the coming weeks:
1. Welcome to Mosaic International service
Sunday 23rd September, Mosaic Church, Sweet Street, Holbeck, Leeds, LS11 9DB at 4.30pm
2. 'The Gathering' student prayer night (see flier)
Tuesday 2nd October, Mosaic Church, Sweet Street, Holbeck, Leeds, LS11 9DB at 7.30pm.
3. Student socials every Sunday after church. Including Open houses, DVD nights, Pub nights, bowling & laserquest and cafe hang out evenings.
Here are some more details about events organised by City Evangelical Church:
a) FOOD FOR ALL STUDENTS - four free Sunday church lunches from 23rd September straight after the morning service, followed by weekly lunches in church families homes.
b) WELCOME TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS - all are invited on 16th September to a home for Sunday lunch... also we have a welcome afternoon on 13th October
c) BIBLE and FELLOWSHIP GROUPS - Undergraduates - all are invited to our girls and guys tuesday meeting from 6-7:30pm.
Postgrads are encouraged to join our many growth groups.
d) TRANSPORT to CHURCH - a free white minibus is available from a number of pickups including parkinson steps at 10:10, 10:30 and 6pm - for the other times see the website.
St George's Church have an event on 30th September. There will be student teas at 5:30pm, followed by Evening Worship at 6:30pm.
